Around the area

You will be spoilt for choice when deciding where to visit while you are here whether you stay within the College Valley, explore further afield in the stunning Borders region or decide to walk part or all of one of the long distance paths which surround the area.

A wilderness area with over 12,000 acres of some of the most beautiful Northumbrian countryside, the estate includes The Cheviot itself, the highest point in the Northumberland National Park at 815 metres, along with Iron Age forts, a Neolithic stone circle and the remains of a crashed WW2 Flying Fortress high among the peat hags
